Tears from Heaven

Matthew 27:46

For God so love the world that He gave his only son to to die for our sins. Jesus: “Abba Father, why have you forsaken me!”

Reflection:

There is no greater proof in love than the sacrifice of one’s life for the sake of another. Jesus proved his love by giving his life for us on the cross of Calvary. Through the shedding of his blood for our sake, our sins are not only washed clean, but new life is poured out for us through the gift of the Holy Spirit.

For Christians, this is Jesus as God in human form, who was sent to save humanity. He was sacrificed for the sins of humankind, which allows them to be reunited with God after death. Jesus Christ is the incarnation of God on Earth - The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us (John 1:14).
